One of my favorite parts of visiting DC is visiting Metro’s stations, because it always makes me feel like I’m a tourist visiting a retro future. Blame it on growing up addicted to 70s sci-fi, where the future was always represented (not always positively) as a world of Brutalist megastructures. 

I still want to live in that future, or at least visit every now and then.
